The sun sets on a beautiful day
Two hours after its rising
The majestic moon now blocked by clouds
Not a star remains shining

The thunder shakes the peaceful silence
My world comes tumbling down
A stroke of lightening and I collapse
Face buried in the ground

In the form of a best friend
A spirit haunts a young girl's life
"It's your fault I am this way."
The spirit becomes the girl's strife

The girl rests in the haunted home
From here, the spirit takes over
Adding mis'rey to every day
'Till the girl's nothing anymore

Cold and alone and dying inside
The girl has surrendered all hope
Of ever living a life of peace
Of e'er living free of this ghost
