All hallow's Eve
Behold the spooks
and their ghoulish ways
Creeping, Creeping
in night, but not day
Behold the vampires
with their ivory fangs
dripping with blood
and stained cold hands
Welcome the monsters
that stomp and scare
that hide beneath beds
and that are rather rare
Behold the mummies
and their small brains
that hide in dark places
and cry when it rains
Welcome the shapes
that twist and flail
with their long gamgly limbs
and some with their tails
Behold the nightmares
that haunt the night
from the moment we sleep
until morning's light
Behold the children
in their fancy dress
acting as pumpkins
or a demon princess
Watch as All Hallow's Eve
becomes a childrens delight
even as they run beside
the real things that go bump in the night
