My Heart Doesn’t Understand
As I stand here at my window
Drawing hearts upon the pane
My tears continue falling
Like summers quenching rain
When you told my heart goodbye
I don’t think It understood
That when you left that dreary day
You'd be gone for good
Now It feels so very empty
Its colours changed to blue
All that’s left are broken pieces
Because It misses you
My heart has finally realized
that time will heal the pain
It will keep on beating
And it will love again
