Blue.

Dirty green.

Fringed in

red and white.

A turquoise painted ocean

laps

slurps

onto red rocks.

island outlines.

Searing colors

hide the world within.

Ants

arrayed

in lines and groups,

in seeming formation,

busily

occupied

with important things,

scurry this way

and that

on its surface.

Ants on a

floating

leaf.

Quickly

reach the

edge.

And turn;

inwards.

Colliding.

Conversations

echo

in

circular

intensity.

Arguments

and

intrigues

with nowhere

to

go.

Memories

memories

refreshed

and refreshed

by repetition.

A social intensity

crushed

inwards.

A small town

painted

onto

paradise.

Blue green red white

and splotches of

dark black.
