Memories of you

For the day you died,

Was the day I cried,

Non stop,

tears falling down my face.

I remember it so clearly,

And now I miss you so dearly,

The day forever implanted in my memory,

The haunting realisation that you're never coming back.

The pain you were in,

Was your only sin,

For you could not tell us,

What was really going on.

The day I heard,

I said don't be absurd,

You'll be okay,

We all want the best for you.

I wish I had noticed,

That you were so helpless,

I wish I had helped,

I wish I could have seen,

The brutal reality,

Was to be a fatality,

And that would be,

The day that changed my life.

The memories in my mind,

I always seem to find,

Bring me some solace,

and some temporary realease.

Reality hits back hard,

I look up to the stars,

and see you there,

From up in the skies.

May you be in peace,

Now that you're deceased,

No more pain for you,

However my pain just grows.
