Never Shall I Forget - (In honour of Remembrance Day)

Never Shall I Forget

He said he would come back,

With his bag packed at the doors,

He promised me that 12 months from now he would back in my arms.

He told me we were meant to be forever,

Now I stand here,

Tears leaking down my cheeks,

My heart shattered in my chest,

And the last words I have to say to the flag covered cassette leave my lips,

“Never shall I never forget”
