Love Diversified
By Gerard Lebel
The hint of a smile… The locking of the eyes.
The pitter patter of butterflies fluttering deep within
The cold, sweaty palms trembling with anticipation.
The shortness of breath… The flaring of the nostril.
The thumping heartbeat… The quiver of the lip.
And then… the kiss.
The wag of the tail… the affectionate caress of fur.
The caring, blissful whimper. The soft muffled purr.
The devilish sip of Merlot arousing the palette.
The creamy, luscious swirl of mint chocolate chip.
The intoxicating, sweet fragrance of summer’s first rose.
The overture’s precursor, moms and dads and weekend getaways.
Love sublime arrives gloriously on wings of diversity.
Rejoice!
