Some people

Was looking for

A big

US transformation

But 2008

Brought

The same 2002

And 2004 illusion

The big boys

Behind the scene

Made sure

Of how

The so-called votes

Would lean

Securing

Their

Hand-picked

Piano queen

Right about now

You have

To start wondering

Who’s pulling

The strings

Because

As the years

Go by

We see less

And less

Of the

American dream

As baseball

And apple pie

Progressively gets creamed

American jobs

Are

Out-sourced

And all

The wars

Have a

Huge cost of course

We can’t blame

The new guy

Because property

You used

To own

The title to

Don’t belong to you

We can’t blame

The new guy

Because the

Small business owner

Is cashing it in

After the

Yes we can

Win

We can’t blame

The new guy

Because

Teachers

Are getting

Pink slips

Left and right

And if

Johnny’s mother

Won’t

Or can’t

Buy

All

His school supplies

Johnny won’t write

And

23 Trillion dollars

Got

The Bankers

To stop shaking

And today

Neither

Your father

Nor your mother

Can bring home

The bacon

While US wages

Continues to get closer

To minimum wages

Your

Unemployment check

Is about

To run out

While you’re trying

To figure out

A new

Life’s route

Your paychecks

Are signed by

A

Temp Service

And people

With

Employment

Remain nervous

And a graduate

Of a university

Flips burgers

While holding on

To their

College degree

Or they stay in college

And get

3 degrees

But we

Can’t blame

The new guy

Because

The new guy

Blames the last guy

And the last guy

Bailed out

The giant

Car guys

But if you ask me

It’s

All the guys

Because every guy

Had a deficit

To pass on

Ever since

The Revolutionary War

Was won or not won

And the

Money changers

Never really

Make

A change

Their agenda

Remains the same

So

The new guy

Isn’t to blame

But

Americans shame

Is the product

Of puppets

Who are tame

By visions

Of power

And

Memories of fear

Since the John F

Kennedy years

We can’t blame it

On the new guy

Because

The cost

Of living is high

High! High! High! high!

And the

Middle class

Now looks

Into the eyes of lower class

Through the looking glass

While the Administration

In pregnant a nation

With their useless

Spending transactions

Like the

500 million dollars

From the

Obama administration

To

Deal with

Kindergarteners

Who are restless

And parents

Still blind

To this

Legislative

Mess

Needless

To say

It has come

To this

But

We can’t blame

The new guy

When the conception

Of women’s rights

Left the children

High and dry

The program

Has been

In place

Since six generations

Of

Grandmothers

Were born

And for the

Red

White

And the blue

We

Will

Mourn

YES WE CAN!

Blame the new guy

Because

I don’t think

He even gave it

A try
