If you don't know what autism is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism.
I have been diagnosed with a light form of autism, but it only really bothered me in my early childhood.
Also, this description of autism isn't perfectly accurate, it's just my personal experience.
My autism in a poem:

I roll my head,

Left

Right

Left.

While in bed.

...

Sameness dominates me.

Leave everyting the way I want it to be.

Leave it! Leave it! Leave it there.

I don't want change, are you not aware?

...

I can't do more than one thing

At the same time, you know.

My brain is focused on

this one thing I can't let go.

...

I always plan my day,

changing it if I want to.

But don't change it for me,

I'll scream and cry if you do.

...

And now I look at this poem,

With no hint of rhyming order.

I might even believe I have,

Multiple personality disorder.

...

I'm smarter than the average,

But I'm not a social guy.

Even if you're my best friend,

I won't look you straight in the eye.

...

I want to be alone,

Because I trust myself only.

You won't hear me scream inside,

Because I prefer to be lonely...

...

I'm autistic, but

At least I'm being myself.
