The memories were so sweet. If only they were real.

Just about five months ago

I dig into my past

and remember the words you spoke,

In my memory they will last

You opened up your mouth

and then you said to me

"You are so perfect and delicate,

you're the only one I see."

I looked at you and smiled

as I felt your breath on my skin

and a kiss upon my neck

leading up, right pass my chin

I held your words so close to me

as if they gave me life

I thought I was your everything

I wanted to be your wife

But in my memory

you soon disappeared

my heart struck with every emotion

aware that fate had interfered

Months pass by

and I find myself thinking,

wondering where you have gone

as I felt my heart slowly sinking

Still I think back to the memories of us

when your words were so beautiful

so true and real but now they're fake

and to think of them becomes painful

Now I find my body on this floor

surrounded by this eerie place

the silence becoming so deafening

as I find myself falling from grace

But as our time goes on

I have stopped asking myself why

as I let the emotions flow from my body

knowing it was a beautiful lie
