This is about a girl whose mom told her that everything in this world will turn out fine but it goes to pieces anyway.

My mother said it was going to be okay
and so she told me of this story
of a truth I once believed
and all its broken glory

Everyone was prosperous
basking in their wealth
peace and harmony reigned
and consumed became one's self

I saw it all happen
like a flash before my eyes
everything went so wrong
ending in demise

The eyes of a human
burned with such fury
signs of self control now lost
their visions bleak and bleary

And I don't know what to believe in
my mother's words, they seem like lies
because this world we live in proves her wrong
the truth we will defy
