Words so Cold

Poetry By: GiggleMonster2
Poetry

When you spoke, your breath came out like ice and I'm frozen inside wasting away

My body is so cold
as I lay beneath the sky
on top of all this snow
afraid that I might die

My breathing becomes slow and jagged
as I try to contain my breath
Trying so desperately to feel some comfort
laying my head to rest

My lips are purple and numb
the cold restricting any movement
my body lay so paralyzed
I'm desperate for improvement

My hair is freezing over
My heart feels so cold
and I can't believe those words
the ones that I still hold

You said it was all a lie
it never meant anything to you
and I can hear my heart breaking
because I thought your words were true

The words you spoke to me
feels like ice that stopped my breathing
pricking every part of me
my heart is barely beating
