I asked god for all things.
That I may enjoy life.
More things are wrought by prayer.
Than this world of dreams.
God gave me life.
That I might enjoy all things.
But life does not happiness bring.
Nor the sound of laughter.
Does not joyously ring.
Created by our king.
So many hearts broken it seems.
That our spirits turn out mean.
Devastated minds slowly fail.
Then our once precious life.
Takes us through torment and hell.
I asked god for these things?
And the sadness it brings?
