Times that Matter
This is a story, you don't need a book
My own true feelings, just have to look
How I love the seasons, turning ever so fine
Simple phases of life for us, we all need to shine
I shall begin, Winter is all white, lovely fresh air
I'm Princess Snow with this blanket, a gift to share
The days are quiet, still, waiting for me, The Bride
Like Spring, I have a daisy bouquet for that gentle ride
Oh, Summer is when I am an Actress, energy to glow
I sing, dance, play a drama, colours make my show
Yes, Winter, Spring, Summer all connect tenderly
In the Fall, I am a Painter with joy to create so warmly
Once I have finished my artwork, I must sit to admire
Gold, orange, red trees, a glorious blaze of fire
My story doesn't end, it repeats in a wonderful tune
The four display their talent, to entertain the sun, moon
Vincey Delaney, January 2012.
