There is a Place
There is a place where the dead do stroll,
Where life’s illusions dance.
There is a place where politicians mime,
Where governments do prance.
There is a trick of fate I hear,
Where life’s a stage for all.
There is a place where tomorrows born,
Where marionettes do rule
There is a land of old lost dreams,
Where future past combine!
There is a pavement made of glass,
Where Kings do never play.
There is a room with padded walls,
Where presidents hold sway.
There is a playroom filled with toys,
Where Generals kill and maim.
There is a book where all is writ,
Where not a word is lost.
There is an eye that always sees,
Where all is filmed and stored!
There is scale where all is weighed,
Where businessmen do fear.
There is a court that lawyers dread,
Where deeds will come to light.
There is a door an old green door,
Where hell and death await.
There is a writer always there,
Where all he writes we’ll know!
There is a place where justice lurks,
Where death surrounds the door.
There is a time that time will stop,
Where all will be revealed!
There is a place where children rule,
Where love it leads the way.
There is a land where children dream,
Where peace will always dwell.
There is a world where children are safe,
Where evil has no hold.
There is universe I hear,
Where children laugh and play.
There is eternity I say,
Where children fear no more.
There is a place of hope I know,
Ah this I know so well!
