Lamentation
A great cry of anguish rent the heavens
Great weeping and mourning for the light of God was gone,
The servants of the God slain and the words of truth scattered to the winds.
Oh Lord how long must Thy servants suffer?
How long oh Lord before You arise up and shake Thyself?
How long before Thou destroy these workers of iniquity?
Oh that we should live to see the children of God put to the sword
To see the seers of Thy truth butchered like sheep
Oh, such shame o' Lord to see Thy words destroyed.
For darkness has come upon the face of the land
Oh, fair land who now shall sing of thy glories?
Who shall show forth the words of truth?
Where o' Lord are the warriors true?
Where are the valiant sons of the God?
Where are the prophets strong?
Who shall stand in the name of God?
