Lover's Heart
Who can know a lover's heart?
Who can fathom such?
The power of love a force unknown
It sees what others can't
A mother's love is past belief
A child's so full of trust
A woman ah a paradox
A box of fire and ice
A word, a touch, a glance an act
These all have untold reach
The small and lowly do great things
When they're inspired by love
Devotion is a form of love
We worship God with such
And God He made the lover's heart
He poured within His love
This power can change a life you know
A village and a town
A city, country, and a world
All this love's power can do
Love cannot be confined or bound
You cannot touch or feel
Just like the wind its power comes
From where no one can tell
You see its power in all that moves
You see the changes wrought
Love's gentle touch can soften rock
It melts the hardest heart
It brings a light to chase the dark
And opens doors within
It takes you down the rugged path
It lifts the heart up high
Beware they say of love my son
It is a scourge they say
You feel its passion grip your heart
Then wrench it out and squeeze
Oh sorrow comes its part of love
Yes pain and tears flow
Yet love is pure and love is clean
So fear not love my son
To live a man must truly love
For love is power from God
Its power will teach you what you need
What only love can do
This world is oft a hard, hard road
It paths are full of tears
Yet love can see you through this road
Embrace it when it comes
