A NEW BUD
My eys are torn by darkness’ shreds,
My soul cires out in pain.
Love’s light has lost its entrance in,
A void of blackness shrouds.
My conscessness has lost all form,
My thoughts are trapped within.
The maelstorm of life has broken me,
Its cast me to the wind.
I lie a broken wretched heap,
Upon life’s dung heap here.
The tide of life did cast me thus,
Where no one ever treds.
This stone within me once had life,
It throbbed so rich in love.
But life has ripped it all to shreds,
It now is frozen hard.
Pain is all that comforts me,
It shows I’m still alive.
Tears they wash my skin anew,
Sorrow comforts me.
Agony of soul torments,
Cuffed in remorse - chained by guilt.
My orbs feel cold like blocks of ice,
I sit in freezing rain.
No one seems to really care,
What waits for me today?
Death, oh yes, its sweet embrace,
I long for it to come.
My soul is dead I know not when,
I lost count long ago.
Hope and faith they went with it,
I linger all alone.
But then I see a glimpse of light,
A child hands me a coin.
The tears flow free I feel a pulse,
My stone melts at her smile.
A ray of hope has shone on me,
A light where there was none.
Her eyes were filled with innocence,
A new bud bringing life.
Where one exists another may,
My heart begins to beat
One person in this cold dark world,
Has yet a spark of love.
