Inner Peace
Within my deep cavernous mind
I find some solitude
In inner regions of my heart
I dwell in rhapsody
I climb celestial stairways high
I fly over cosmic seas
And there I surf the waves of time
And find a peace within
How oft would I this place desire
As darkness clouds my day
As trials of life so harsh and cruel
Like raindrops fall on me
Yet in the midst of heavy showers
a door remains for me
Behind the door there is a calm
The sun it shines on me
To bask beneath the gentle rays
To feel love’s breath of life
To see the flowers just spring to life
To cast all cares aside
I see the world through different eyes
Hope doth surge within
The trials of life don’t seem so large
When walking in love’s breeze
I often travel to that place
I found the gateway there
I enter through a child’s eyes
You can enter too
Many doors do lead within
If you will just take time
The smile of a baby small
The laughter of their play
I oft have wandered through the door
I longed to stay within
Alas I had to leave each time
For life trials beckoned me
