Another Cup of Coffee
Another cup off coffee came
Ah such aroma sweet
I sit and sip its bitter taste
My thoughts are now far gone
The clock it ticks the time away
The sun has gone to bed
Yet still I sit here all alone
I sip my tasty brew
Another day has come and gone
Yet I sit here alone
No one seems to really care
It's if I wasn't there
Outside the café all is quiet
I hear a bark somewhere
It's closing time and I must leave
I sip the final dreg
I pick my bag and slowly walk
The dark and lonely street
To find a corner dark and cold
Its there I make my bed
All wrapped in papers
News well read
A hundred times or more
I shiver in the cold night air
And then I fall to sleep
Before the sun has raised its head
Already I am up
I wander down the lonely streets
My bag my only home
Within the cozy café soon
I sit my thoughts and I
A steaming cup on coffee comes
I sip the tasty brew
Another day another cup
My life consist of this
An endless circle never ends
Until death rears its head
I gaze at life from through the glass
The people passing by
I am invisible to them
None do really care
Oh, what could have been I often think
As I sit all alone
If only I had made the choice
To walk the other way
A thousand lifetimes I have spent
My thoughts and I alone
We live it over every day
A hundred times or more
And so I sit before this cup
I sip it, oh so slow
Another day has come and gone
Another coffee cup
