Appassionato
I sat down and made myself comfy
The lights were dim
I imbibed the atmosphere of the room
As my nervousness took wings
All was still, quiet, silence prevailed for a moment
So quiet that you almost could slice through it with blade
Eyes filled with passion I gazed upon her
All time seemingly froze!
I let out a breath of air; it caroused playfully between my lips
But no sound emitted
I took her gently within my arms, she sat snugly on my lap
I could feel her nestle in responding to my embrace
Finding the most relaxing position
My hands caressed her smooth curves.
My sense absorbed her delicate perfume, ah, yes!
I closed my eyes savouring her vibrant fragrance
My hands moved gently along her body and neck
Fingers moving slowly, gently skipping, touching, tweaking, searching
Up, down, in, out, moving slowly gradually increasing tempo
Yes, yes, I could feel her yieldedness, her sensual response to my touches
Slowly, slowly she stirred as passion was released from within
I could feel her ardent response as my rhythm increased
I sighed almost soundless as the fervour of love enveloped me
Aroused within, my emotions flowed forth exploding through my touch
I increased my rhythm and tempo as we became one
Yes, yes, she responded in kind to my strokes
We were as one, one soul, one spirit, and one being
Faster, faster, faster my fingers` flew
My breathing was harder more intense almost erupting in rapture
My mind sought control, yes, now I must rest, wait, wait,
It was not time yet, a moment more then again that gradual climb!
Building, building, sensation upon sensation
Reaching out to that inexplicable nirvana
That ecstatic moment of complete union in an explosion of the senses
Onward, onward we moved, entwined together
Beads of sweat ran like rivulets down my face
Faster, faster, more intense and yet I kept control
Waiting, for yes, yes that perfect moment in time
That ultimate crescendo, the climax of senses
Yes, yes, yes! We exploded!
Release, rest, silence, expended, spent!
Then quiet, quiet, quiet!
A moment of time stood still
Then a thunderous wall of applause burst forth from the audience
They were all on their feet in appreciation, admiration, enthralled!
I smiled breathlessly clinging to my guitar nestled within my lap
Once more we had brought the audience on an ecstatic journey
A journey of passion, love, music
I rose facing the crowded hall and bowed
The applause continued
Then turning we left the concert hall
My guitar and I
