Beyond the Magic Glass
Alice through the looking glass,
White rabbits racing time,
Mindless shells in city streets,
Reality is but a dream.
Reflections in a pool of ice,
Timeless ages sigh,
Pictures of the inner man,
Things we try to hide.
Ripples in a pool of life,
Rings of cosmic light,
Actions we had writ in stone,
Repercussions now do feel.
Whirling round in spiral bursts,
Transcending all of time,
Spiral stairway never ends,
We're forever on replay.
Try the spirits we are told,
Test the waters first,
Some are deadly poison wells,
Pain and suffering.
Rainbows climb to astral planes,
Hues revolve and spin,
Oh the beauty they do miss,
They're puppets without souls.
Climbers explore stellar hills,
Jewels of light to find,
Always seeking never finding,
Plodding through life's waste.
Caverns neath the hills of truth,
Words of majesty,
Waiting there for us to find,
Lost within time's maze.
Crystal columns tipped with ice,
Mounds of light pulsate in time,
Mundane ruts we're trapped within,
No exits ever find.
Rapturous pulses throb within,
Harmony explodes around,
Mystic veils of truth explode,
We're too blind to see.
Nature cries aloud in waves,
Rippling rays of night,
Pollution of the heart and soul,
We feast on it each day.
Dreamers sail on seas of bliss,
Lovers join as one,
Pleasures of the flesh enjoy,
Forgetting all life's pain.
Crystal walls of shimmering light,
Created throughout time,
Rest and meditate on life,
Peace doth flood thy soul.
Words in colored dancing songs,
Pictures in the mind unwind,
Hazy visions blur the soul,
