Crystal Writings Carved in Ice
Terrestrial lands of mortal men
Celestial vastness looms above
Stellar lights in heavenly realms
Astral bodies war
Voids of darkness deep below
Abyss too deep for love to show
Maelstrom deep neath oceans void
Turbulent forces rule
Whirlpools whip they rip and grasp
Mystical monsters from the deep
Enchantments spells and wizards runes
Bewitching all in cosmic spells
Magnetic forces lure and bait
Enticing all to taste its wares
Undulating notes as mermaids sing
Spiralling music through my mind
Spurting burst of solar flares
Thrusting forth their evil snares
Sucking all who enter there
Into fires below
Exploding lights in heavenly skies
Fountains clear of crystal bright
Cleansing waves of love's pure light
Soaring down through heavens might
Poems come from mortal men
Truths in words they pen
Answers come though from beyond
As Prophets, Seers and Sages speak
Timeless writings all do read
Sagas, Odes and Ballads rhyme
Dancing stories players' stage
Message deep within
Dreamers' dance in poet's rhyme
All performing tuneless jigs
Sorrow laughs as worlds do burn
Magic worlds explode
Weeping women mourn for love
Merry widows dance in joy
Children laugh as children do
Warriors wonder why
Life it seems is past belief
Yet we study seeking truth
Scholars spend their years in books
Yet answers still elude
Truth is simple words for all
Rich and poor or old and young
Black or white, male or female
Each a piece of all
Why then wars and discontent
Men do seek more than is meat
Ever wanting ever lost
Gathering riches for oneself
Self the god that most do follow
No one cares about his brother
Feeding souls with worthless fodder
What will happen next?
Listen to the song of nature
Hear its works in splendour
All creation singing loudly
Chaos everywhere
Who will learn I ask thee now?
Who will open heart asunder?
Who will take the step to freedom?
Who the shackles break?
