Excalibur
'Twas in a forge of light and power
A sword was forged with light
A sword designed to conquer all
To vanquish all the Dark
The Fisher King looked down on it
He knew the need so great
He forged a sword to stir man's faith
And so the sword was made
A sword of power a sword of light
With scent so sweet and fair
It brought to Camelot God's strength
A thread of hope for men
It filled man's heart with faith and joy
It destroyed evil's power
Excalibur the sword was called
And they that saw did bow
They gave the 'Fair Ones' praise in song
For all they did for men.
King Arthur brave was given it
From waters deep and dark
The Lady there did hand to him
This sword of 'Fair Ones' power
A sword unlike the one before
He's pulled out from the stone
For Merlin placed it there for him
As heaven did decree
A wizard, bard and fighter too
Merlin did cast his spell
With sword, with magic, and in song
A nation he did carve
Now Arthur chosen by the gods
Did win his fights by faith
A mighty man was he in deed
His sword a light to all
The scent of heaven filled the lands
For men did understand
That heaven sent this sword to them
To cleanse dear England's shores
