Life, What is life?
What then is life, what then is life I say?
Life is the emotions of the soul poured into a mold and left.
Life is years of giving, pouring, learning, and always moving.
Life is like a puzzle; it is a mystery, yet it is clear.
It lies hidden before you, yet it lies open like a book
Life is seen in your tears and laughter,
Life is seen in the way you walk, talk and play.
Life is pictured in the love of a little child,
It is seen in the tears of sorrow, in the eyes of the old man sipping tea in the late night bar.
It is shown in the chiselled features of the old tramp sitting under the bridge.
It is seen in the desperation of one lost and lonely,
It is seen in the happiness of a new birth.
It is seen in marriage and it is seen in death.
Life is the sum of all of your trials and tests and breakings,
Life is your mistakes and failings,
Life is the path you tread each day.
Life is made of a multitude of things,
Life is like a jigsaw; life is a mosaic being pieced together by the master artist,
Life is a painting of the lights and shadows of your life.
Life is the essence of emotion; passion, love and pain,
Life cries and laughs, it yells and whispers,
Life is the whirlwind and the cool breeze, the calm and the storm.
What then, my love, is life?
Life is the sum of all of these my child, that is life.”
