Magical Moments
Slipping in worlds encased in red lace
Lifting a cup filed with stars
Words that are life and filled with the truth
Things beyond shape or form
Letters in gold that twist and distort
Music in notes none can hear
Pictures in colors that none here can see
Visions beyond all we know
Dreams that are real - reality dreams
Mingled in mazes of twine
There through the mists all roads shed with light
A path that colors my thoughts
Wizard on moonbeams ride through the stars
Toadstools with worlds deep inside
Giants and warlocks, witches and dwarves
All within night's velvet grasp
Fairies in twilight drift in my dreams
Elves they sing as they dance
Unicorns play on the wisp of the moon
Magical moments of time
Rabbits that speak to me mice that play tricks
Ghosts that make my heart beat
Tales often told while candles they glow
Wondrous worlds hidden there
Oh as I sit here beneath the moon's glow
Memories I seem to recall
It all seemed so real I travelled with them
A world so different from mine
Was it but a dream, or childhood romance?
Did books play too big of a part?
A star falls to earth an owl hoots nearby
As joy fills my soul once again
