Paris Mon Amour

Smoky café - noisy street
Filled with many thoughts
Artists come and writers too
Each, they have their place
Early morning - late at night
Music I do hear
Laughing, talking, loving, singing
Ah! such memories
Painters' chat while eyeing all
Always seeking new
Writers consumed in their thoughts
Philosophers' debate
Coffee ah! it fills the air
Its aroma bringing life
On the boulevard I see
Lovers hand in hand
Dreamy city lost in time
Ah, sweet memories
Paris such a place to be
Nostalgia I imbibe
Walking by the river side
Romance it fills the air
Old and young they seek the same
Love in all its form
Time - it seems to stand quite still
Yet all, is filled with life
Paradoxical it seems to some
Yet - it's not to me
Paris, ah, a place for love
Art and literature
Many flock here from without
To catch its breath of love
Monet, Matisse, and Degas too
They walked these cobbled streets
The love they felt came out in paint
For generations new
Now couples wander, by the Seine
Their eyes for no one else
Je' t'aime, je' t'aime, I hear them say
As love sings in the air
All around I feel loves pulse
Love it throbs within
Wine it flows like loves warm blood
Perfume - intoxicates
Oh, to walk within its' streets
Is to live a life in love
Paris, ah! That says it all!
Another name for love!
