Shades of Night
Amazing are the shades of night
Each hue its perfume leaves
My soul is coloured by its scenr
It transports me through time
I hear the wind; it calls to me
A journey to begin
Where I’ll go; I know not yet
Just like the breeze I’ll flow
Doors of violet vapour see
Gates through walls of sound
A world of visions moving through
Beyond all earthly ken
A mist now forms; it clings to me
Its dampness I embrace
I shiver as my skin doth thrill
I see the sun’s warm rays
Dancing rays of dust appear
Changing all around
Like magic spells it creates now
Blossoms bursting forth
The sky a canvas of azure
As brush strokes now appear
Worlds collide and empires crash
Alas I’m now awake
