THE BUTTERFLY TAKES FLIGHT
Wonder and amazement I do see
The butterfly comes forth
Metamorphous, what a change
We can change as well
It gives me hope it gives me faith
Things we see they need not be
As the butterfly we can change
Nothing’s set in stone
Alcoholics, addicts too, nothing has to be
A caterpillar, they can change
Transformed to beauty, soar on high
A life of splendour bright
Thief and conmen, criminals
All can mend their way
Addictions smashed, past cast off
Exquisite agony
Its not easy - not a breeze
Hard the road the path is rough
Joy from suffering, beauty from ashes
A cocoon must now escape
The struggles worth the pain you feel
The butterfly takes flight
