The Dance of Death
Purple skies with golden hues
Crystal goblets smooth as ice
Silver tongues with golden words
Few can so discern
Jesters’ rhyme in empty halls
Poets dance through endless dreams
Lovers sail through seas of bliss
Music leads them all
Sensual eyes that do seduce
Dancers sway in tempting ways
The Piper plays for all shall pay
Music leads them all
The soldiers march in countless lines
Wars destroy while plagues bring death
Who shall dance the ‘Dance of Death’?
Music leads them all
Sirens sing while lovers spin
Fiddlers jig while death moves in
Blind the crowds who dance tonight
Death awaits them all
