The Vampire
I shiver as the bell it tolls
Death, death, death
In shadows I walk
In darkness I live
Coldness is my clothing
Dampness my nightly breath
Looking up to the black velvet sky
I sigh, I sigh, I sigh
The light of moon it gives me sight
Stars are map and guide
An owl hoots!I smile once more
The hunter is afoot
Quietly I walk, silently I move
A whisper of wind ruffles my cloak
The earth it holds no resting place
Eternity alone
No fear for me I laugh again
I see life speeding by
Time goes by I still remain
The years shuttle on
I live that others they may die
I take all that I need
I live to hunt I hunt to live
I live but to survive
A hunter like the owl I move
Through silent alleyways
Shadows embrace me in their folds
I seek my prey tonight
A door slams a voice cries out
An argument! I smile!
I hear the feet so quickly come
The curses on her breath
She turns the corner sways a bit,
A drink I smell on her
It matters not its blood I seek
I smile as she draws near
She hesitates then feels at ease
My eyes they draw her close
Soon in my arms her heart does beat
I hear the owl again
It soon is over there she lies
Her blood did give me life
I turn away I walk alone
Another day gone by
The date was 1856
Aye, well do I recall
In Whitechapel's fog I walked the street
A night it haunts me so
I wish I never left my home
That wet and foggy night
It changed my life it took my life
The past cannot undo
The years flew by and yet they dragged
I pass the old churchyard
My tombstone now is quite obscure
Beneath the undergrowth
Cursed forever cursed I am
And cursed I'll ever stay
Eternally I hunt for blood
So warm to comfort me
Life? I have none, what is that?
Love? It does not exist!
Death? It's all I live around
It's is my life and soul
The bell it tolls, death rings again
The owl it flies on by
The moonlight shines upon the path
Evil walks tonight
