Just some more motivation from a place called the cemetery

Well here you are now

sleeping peacefully, independently

under the lonely sky

I find myself feeling ashamed

I have neglected you

Mother nature has neglected you

I know you wouldn't be happy

with the appearance of things

out here

You have been eroded, rusted

by unforgiving elements

The weeds grow tall around you

The trees grow taller beside you

Your name is blotted out

beyond familiarity

For that, I'm sorry

I know this is not what you want

You were forgotten

by everyone

I should have done something

I could have cleaned it up

made it as beautiful

as you

But now you're laying out here

all alone

And all this time I know you just wanted someone

Anyone

to come and say hi

That would have eased your isolation,

seclusion

It brings tears to my eyes

I should have loved you in death

the same way I did in life

I can make it up to you

if you would give me a chance

So wait patiently

I'm coming back to you

when forlornness hides
