A Dozen Irises and Birthday Wishes..
How I wait…and... ache in this field of Dandelions
You can think of me as one of them
Whispering desires in the drowsy dark!
Oh how gracefully..
The seeds of these weeds kiss the ground
With an air of finality, carrying secrets in their hearts
Pirouetting in whirls, ready to sink in someone's dreams
And roil there, trembling and erupting, breaking silence
Flying to the edge of space to have their essences fulfilled.
Then they ask me,
If Dandelions fulfilled all my wishes
Why that bunch of pink Irises sits on my bedside
I chose Irises because Roses scream out too much love
And Dandelions, they are too delicate to be gifted
Too ephemeral, they are just meant to be understood.
And above all, these Irises now fulfill my hypocrisy
What more can I ask for as a weird social cocoon
I cant even tell him, these my words are for you, Love
For your serenading soul's timeless beauty
You god of all my longings, luscious as well holy,
I send you this bunch of Irises, birthday wishes and smiles
Of a quivering Dandelion, standing exposed to careless winds..
