DARKENED
The rain darkened sky hung over her like the pain in her heart
Sorrow Flooded into her mind like a wave.
She felt broken but didn’t know why.
Happiness felt far away and out of reach.
Sadness rose and fell within the rhythm of her chest.
Then there in the back of her mind was a face
The face of the man she once loved.
Even now in the dark forgotten chambers of her soul
His love still dwells. Roams her soul like a wolf in the night
Looking for a way, a way back into her heart.
