I love spring and this was a writing prompt. I thought it turned out pretty good.

Sweet spring smells crisp in the air.

Daisies, tulips, and marigolds rainbow the ground.

And raindrops cry on my windowsill.

Trees arch into beautiful blossomed tunnels.

Roses grow until they're fully round.

Sweet spring smells crisp in the air.

Time for my galoshes to weather the puddles,

snow and sadness heaven bound,

And raindrops cry on my windowsill.

The crickets' song at night now more than subtle.

The blue jays and cardinal birds make their sound.

Sweet spring smells crisp in the air.

Worms and rabbits emerge from their holes,

Thunder and lightning signal the heaviest showers around,

And raindrops cry on my windowsill.

Pink dogwood tree flowers blossom from bulbs.

Smiles sprout all over town,

Sweet spring smells crisp in the air.

And raindrops cry on my windowsill.
