Shattering my world

Poetry By: hekiv

Another little poem my friend wrote and send to me, ever since I told her that many people started to like her work. :)

In Stockholm the days rush by

I'm waiting for you at home every night

I long for you, you're so fine

Everyone are sleeping, it has become cold

On the bus people dream of another life

I'm waiting for you at home

I miss you forever and always

In my heart, in an empty wallet I find a picture of us when we walked on the bridge, hand in hand.

In the background are the falling stars

We were so young then, that was a different time

We ran into the morning light, hand in hand.

And now I am looking for the way back there

I walk and walk and I never get there

It's quiet in the house, yet another day

Of broken promises and not inoff time

From the bed I hear your breathing

I long for you, you're so fine

On our kitchen table is a glass of red

And you've written something on a post-it note

"There is food in the fridge and I have baked bread

I love you always, kiss and goodnight"
