I stumbled upon you,
Just stumbling through
Life. In that hazy second,
I solemnly reckoned
Maybe I wouldn't be alone
After all. The promise engraved in my flesh and bone
Stuckme like a bolt of hope
That maybe I wouldn't spend the rest of these days trapped in this tight, tight rope.
In that moment, I knew
no matter the lies of pain or loss, love would always be true.
Because truthfully I
Had begun to give up, a horrible way to die.
Until I stumbled upon you.
