Daring acts, none forgotten.
Many wars, just for cotton.
Loved ones lost, loved ones found.
makes your head spin round around.
Shedding tears, just a pain.
They won't stop a moving train.
What we do, what we don't
it's not real, it's what we won't.
Saving lives, has lots of jobs,
money's only good for snobs.
9/11's an example,
other people we need to trample.
The future is what you make it,
live your life and don't you fake it.
Mourning members of the lost,
our stupid acts bring a cost.
Burning buildings, smoldering flames,
smoke in your eyes, children's lost games.
They're all things we're sorry for,
but the future will bring many more.
A last kiss, a tight hug,
gives your heart a final tug.
Don't lose faith, bring back more,
America is what it was made for.
