The soft grass between my fingers...

The soft grass between my fingers,
The bright blue sky and fluffy white clouds,
The sun brightly shining,
On such a marvellous day as this
I turn onto my side,
Caressing the greenery,
Gazing into the pool of sparkling water,
Reflecting the suns rays on its surface
A tear rolls down my cheek,
As I try to connect with him one more time,
Channelling my energy, my love,
And pushing it through the soil
I put my chin in my hand,
Lying once more on my stomach,
And trace the letters on the stone,
With my fragile shaking fingers
And that's when it hits me,
He's gone,
Not coming back,
Never again to return to my arms
I let out a cry of agony,
Forcing the pain out of my system,
I want it to leave and never come back,
But this is a wish no sorcerer can grant
Once more I howl, basking in true sorrow,
One unlike any I had ever felt before,
So powerful I wouldn't wish it on anyone,
Even the cruellest of people
My breath becomes ragged,
I find myself gasping for air,
Trying to regain composure,
But to no avail
I get a hold of myself,
Bunching up the grass in my fist,
Digging my nails into my palms,
When I loose myself once more
I throw my body at the tomb stone,
Screaming, screaming for him to come back,
Screaming,
I need you, I want you, I love you
But he can't hear me,
His body lying lifeless under six feet of rock,
Trapped inside a coffin,
Left to rot
I begin to dig,
Pulling out the grass in clumps,
Scraping away layers of dirt with my bare nails,
The emotional and physical pain too much to bare
Nothing will lie between me and him,
Nothing will stop me,
Nothing...
Nothing
But then I hear his voice,
Stop! He yells, over and over,
Stop! He cries to me and I continue to dig,
Stop!
Now I lay on my back,
Gazing into the eyes of my 'him',
I study is face, a hallucination for sure,
As he pulls me in for one last kiss
