Looking out, beyond the water....

Looking out, beyond the water,
Standing upon a wooden alter,
His glance is met, by the shining sun,
Temporarily, he is stun

Then he looks back, dreaming of,
Something inside him, his lost love,
The one who ought to meet him here,
But for some reason did not appear

Soon he sits, to contemplate,
Should he turn back, is it too late?
But sadly yes, too late to go,
The love burning in his heart starts to grow

He sits on the pier, for a while,
His frown is gone, he starts to smile,
From in the water, a crystal reflection,
Staring back, a face of perfection

He turns around, and who does he see?
His one and only, lovely she,
Their eyes meet, and they grin,
So similar are they, like a long lost twin
