Sudden death of a loved one leaves subject in despair

As morning breaks andI once again awake

To another day of grief and dreadful longing.

We'd lived, we'd loved.

You'd vowed "I'll never leave you"

Those magic words that made me feel complete.

My safety net when others let me down.

Always there, my love, my only you.

But now you're gone, you were taken without warning

In the blinking of any eye.

No words of love were spoken - no goodbye!

A sudden darkness engulfs me,

Swallows me up body and soul

I call your name but you aren't there.

Life as it once was, never more will be

Just alone, with HEARTBREAK, that is, forever, me.
