JUST FOR TODAY
Let's take life day by day and each morning as we wake,
Make up our minds to help our foe,
and others, as on our way we go
- but remember-
JUST FOR TODAY
Tomorrow we can be human
And argue with all our might, butĀ JUST FOR TODAY
We'll agree and say
"Friend, you are right".
Tomorrow we will demand our rights,
No matter who has to pay - but if it
Helps our fellow man - we'll forfeit them
JUST FOR TODAY
Tomorrow, we can eat a feast and
Forget the waif and stray - but we'll
Share our bread with everyone
JUST FOR TODAY
Today I helped a blind man see
As I guided him on his way
His old dog licked my guiding hand
And now as I kneelĀ to pray
I ask my God that when I awake, tomorrow,
It will be TODAY
