Poem about the judgement of others

LETS BE BLIND

Without our eyes, we would not see

The beauty of a flower or a fine oak tree.

We would not see the birds that sing

The elegance of a swan - not anything!

BUT

Colour wouldn't mean much,

We'd all be the same,

Black or White - just words by name.

We'd shake each others hand, yellow, black or white,

We'd get to know the person if we had no sight.

We wouldn't judge by looks or fancy hair.

Smart or scruffy - we wouldn't care.

Lets give thanks for our eyes, but let's use our mind,

When we judge each other,

LETS BE BLIND
