Oh, listen now,
Dear Friends, do.
For every fragile petal
Of a crimson Rose
Is destined to wither.
The mighty Oak tree,
With each swaying bough,
Doomed always to fall.
The light of every star,
That pierces the heavens,
Will one day shine its last.
The clock that ticks so fervently,
One minute after the next,
May tick no more.
With a hand upon your chest,
Do not count the beats gone by.
But those not yet spoken.
Do not stand by idle,
Open not your eyes,
But your mind.
Seize the day.
For it will not wait long.
Carpe Diem.
Do not let your petals fall
Without once catching the sunlight.
