Never forget your heart.

Poetry By: Howlingwolf214

This was the first poem I ever wrote. So obviously it's not going to be perfect. It doesn't really say anything my life, so it wasn't written from experience. Please tell what you think!

As i walk, trailing my hand through the grass,
In this Field, this meadow, this prairie,
that the two of us share,
I shut my eyes and remember.
How the willows bent towards you,
Respect from nature itself,
How the light in your hair sparkled,
Silky in the sunlight.
These memories we both share,
are locked inside us forever,
No cage, no lock, no key,
Other than our hearts.
But when there is light,
there are also shadows,
I see you turn,
Cracks running through my heart.

But then the sun shines through,
onto my glistening eyes,
I start and my eyes open,
I remember that which can never change:
You are always there beside me.
