“When devils will the blackest sins commit, they do at first put on Heavenly shows.”
In this soft light of noon
Under this sky upon this stage
A sense of empathy blooms
No one else walks here with me
When jovial love comes up from Earth
Exiting through the insufficient small chord of my throat
The bells of church deafeningly drowned it out.
Our attempts at god are always so loud
Reaching up – calling out - to nothing
Running from something
