The pool of life is filled with danger
And with each stroke we take
It becomes stranger and stranger
We float because of surface tension
With no fear of what life brings next
The outside world, another dimension
As we dive the depths of life’s pond
We see and reflect on deeds past
And wish to fix what we see as wrong
The resistance of water holding us back
But if we can find the currents
We hope that life will get back on track
The pool is our world, hopes, dreams
Our knowledge is limited to this place
And escape is somewhat difficult it seems
The knife is the only way out of hear
But with it comes a responsibility of self
That is based on unfounded fear
As we fill the pool with crimson mist
We become that which we seek
By leaving the pool and removal from the list
