just a theme that popped in my twisted little mind

My eyes are the windows to an unforgiving world

One where wanton destruction of others is applauded

My hope is that in my life time integrity is upheld

And the atrocities of some are not forgiven or lauded.

The path of the righteous is sodden with blood and bone,

With the oppressors slating their hunger with angel wings

There depravity and hatred they must one day atone

But until that time, man sits hangs his head low and sings

In a shrine they gather to scurry and hide away

With a promise of those we call to drop from on high

As long as we sit and cry tears of blood as we prey.

The thing I must tell you is that the promise was a lie

For to be angels to help us on this earthy plane

Means that the devils of our fathers must be feel

But the thing I must tell you again and again

Is that the monsters you fear are but men and are real

It is from man we must run and the darkness hide

Because in our innocent minds it can only be devils

A human being could not be so depraved or contrived

And it is in this knowledge that evil thrives and revels.

Believe in yourself not God to keep you safe and warm

Just remember these words and please do adhere

That only you can choose to ride out the violent storm

And strike down the evil, the despicable the cold fear.

The evils of men thrive on your tear!
