These shades of crimson overlapping
suffocating her in metallic ocean waves
the taste of the end, bittersweet, hoping
praying for solace, an end to this hellish cycle
of lovers' partings, of a wilting rose
drawing to a close, looking for a miracle
These hues of scarlet overwhelming
intimidating her in uncontrollable desperation
the scent of death, pervading, drowning
drenching her heart in locked away mementos, reminders
of past mistakes, of broken promises
bloodsoaked tresses, looking for salvation escaping her
These contrasting emotions conflicting
shrivelling her heart and soul; expectant of beauty
observant of his insouciance; falsely predicting
devoting too much to the slightest of chances, this
of snake eyes, of a simply complicated game
Trying to remember his name, she falls into the abyss
