A dream of A Life Long Passed

This is about a girl I used to know...

Chords struck gently
a sweet melody ensues
as she sits
basking with her glory
in the golden summer light
Her autumn hair flowed
richly down her shoulders
the contrast of red
and the white of her dress
my heart thumps to the beat of her music
Her vigor fills the air
she is a goddess of beauty
even the blue birds
silently envious
listening intently
through the window
Her image is like honey
golden and sweet
she shined
as every aspect of her
came to life
the passion
that thrived in her movement
I quake with it
nothing else is real
just
me and her
and the music
nothing else is real
She comes to a rest
as the song ends
I smile gently in approval
Her pale blue eyes
that squint
when she smiles...
I am lost in her completely
She opens her mouth
I am struck
with anticipation
will she speak my name?
A crow shrieks
splitting the air
shattering this bliss
tearing assunder this moment
The scene cracks
and falls to pieces
I slowly stoop down
and gather them up
to cast them aside
as they matter no longer
I have lost her
A sharp pain
as I cut my finger
on a familiar piece
A drop of crimson
Autumn red
falls into the darkness
Lost forever
Into a life long passed...
